We have hunted two times with Johnny
Vivier Safaris, 2005 and 2001. We
highly recommend this outfitter for your South Africa adventure!
South Africa safari round two was June 2005. Jodee was the main hunter, taking
7 animals of 6 different species. Jerry took 2 animals. We both used the .270
WSM with Barnes X triple shock 130 grain bullets.

The Waterbuck took two rounds, all the other animals were one shot kills
with the .270 WSM. If you counted, we shot 9 animals, but only 8 are
pictured. Jodee took two Mountain Reedbucks with the first one having
a broken horn. Johnny Vivier corrected the matter, and a second one was
taken, which is the animal pictured above. We don't have a picture of
the broken horn Mountain Reedbuck.

Our first South African safari with JVS was August
2001. We each took six animals, doubled on the Kudu, thus took 11
different species. Jerry used the 7mm REM Mag and Jodee used a .270 WIN.
